2 Day Hostile Environment Trauma Course

British Army Team Medics are taught how to treat casualties by providing Immediate Life Saving Interventions in a hostile situation/environment. This comprehensive 2 day course enables all participants to deal with emergency medical situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.

This course will give participants a Hostile Environment Trauma qualification, meeting the requirement for anyone venturing into remote - austre - hostile off the beaten track environments.

Syllabus: A range of subjects are covered including:

• Care Under Fire

• Tactical Rapid Primary Survey

• Catstrophic Haemorrhage Control

• Airway Assessment

• Breathing Assessment 

• Circulation Assessment

• Disability / Neurological Assessment

• Environment / Thermal Management

• Secondary Survey - Re-check CABCDE

• Packaging - Preparing to evacuate

Certification: A three year Hostile Environment Trauma course qualification will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. 

Duration: 2 day combined course in the classroom and outdoors, consisting of practical and theoretical activities.

Numbers: A maximum of 12 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Where and When: At your location or at a venue on a date to suit your group.

Who should attend: Anyone who is travelling to remote - austere - hostile environements.
